Well. It’s been a bit of a long haul and very definitely a time of trying to do the right thing and make good decisions for us and for the community as a whole, however, we are now happy to announce that we have resumed trading from Wednesday 9th September.

We now feel confident that with the Summer holiday season drawing to a close, children heading back to school and the measures that both ourselves and the Packhorse have taken to keep the village community as safe as possible and a Covid-free zone that it’s time to move forward and to try to regain some sense of normality in our daily lives.

Time here has not been wasted and you will find completely cleaned, redecorated and refurbished public areas with reduced number ‘safe space’ tables set to give you confidence to enjoy your time with us and a system designed to keep you and us safe.

 

• There is a minimum amount of signage just to inform and direct and make sure we’re all singing off the same hymn sheet.

• We have implemented a bookings only policy for dining tables and there are no exceptions to this at this time.

• We strongly recommend booking for drinking only as we have very limited table space and all guests eating or drinking must be seated whether inside or outside.

• We have, for the time being, put a maximum number of 6 people per table for all sessions except Sunday lunch which will be a maximum of 6 people per table.

• We shall be taking necessary details at the time of booking the table to help the NHS ‘Track and Trace’ policy.

• We shall not be allowing dogs inside the pub at this time.

We do, unfortunately, have some T&C’s which we will email to you on booking your table, it’s not what we want, it’s just the way it is at the moment and for the foreseeable future but you can rest assured that we shall continue to endeavour to keep these to a minimum whilst always striving to keep our guests, staff, friends and family safe and make any necessary changes to our operating policy as time moves forward.
