Job Type: Part-time / Flexible (with potential to grow)
Pay: From £8.00 per hour (depending on age and experience) + monthly tips

About the Role

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter / Pot Wash to join our kitchen team.

This is a vital role within the business, helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. You'll work closely with our chefs and kitchen team, ensuring equipment, crockery, utensils, and work areas are kept clean and ready for service.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in hospitality, earn some extra income, or potentially progress into a Kitchen Assistant or Line Cook position in the future.

Key Responsibilities

​

Pot Wash Duties:

Wash and clean pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently

Ensure a constant supply of clean equipment is available during service

Organise and store cleaned items correctly

​

 

Kitchen Support:

Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required

Help with deliveries and putting away stock

Assist with maintaining kitchen organisation and storage areas

Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

​

 

Cleaning & Hygiene:

Maintain cleanliness throughout all kitchen areas

Clean floors, work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas

Dispose of waste and recycling correctly

Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Ensure cleaning schedules are completed to a high standard

​

 

General Duties:

Opening and closing cleaning duties

Restocking cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials

Supporting the wider kitchen team where needed

Following health & safety procedures at all times

Taking pride in maintaining a clean and professional working environment

No previous experience required – full training provided

Reliable and hardworking attitude

Good timekeeping and attendance

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Good attention to cleanliness and organisation

Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and carrying out manual tasks
